This protects them from predation. Small seeds are surface sown, but they are too small to be of interest to birds and other critters.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:separator --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph
